1730 Plain clocks like this were still fashionable in the 1730s. Either side of the maker's named are 2 small dials. One regulates the pendulum (left) and the other silences the clock's strike (right). Above the hands is a moch pendulum for starting and stopping the clock. The clock has a maintaining-power mechanism to keep it going during winding. This is activated by the unusual tapered winding key.
