Vatican Manuscripts Added Week 18 of 2021

A total of twenty-one manuscripts were digitized this week. Work continues on the Borgiani Armenian collection, which is nearly 1/3 digitized at this point. The bulk of the remaining manuscripts are part of Vat.lat, from the blocks of 4,000-5,000, 8,000-9,000 and the post 14,666, where work has been focused in recent weeks.

To the right is f.3r from Vat.lat.5334, a collection of medical manuscripts. This is the end of the table of contents for the Thesaurus Pauperum, and at the bottom there is an image of a man attending to a bedridden woman identified as "Magister Petr[us] de Tollecta". The work is usually attributed to Peter Hispanus.

The bottom border is from Vat.lat.11475, a copy of Florus' Epitome of Roman History. This is from the start of the text, f.1r, which is missing the first few lines of text. There was a space left for that text and a large capitol letter, probably to be in gold or a bright color, but it was never added.
