Only sixteen manuscripts were digitized this week by the library, and three of those were just scanned microfilm. The thirteen high-quality scans are widely distributed, with an Armenian Hymnal and a Sanskrit Thesaurus rounding out the assorted Latin texts. Interestingly three manuscripts from Reg.lat were added, this collection has been quiet for several years. From the Ott.lat fond three more volumes by Domenico Iacovacci were added, bringing the total to ninteen.
To the right is f.112r from the Armenian Hymnal, Vat.arm.24. It is dated to year 941, which is 1491/2 in the Julian calendar, as the Armenian calendar starts counting on July 11, 552.
The line of text below is from a copy of Peter Martyr d'Anghiera's Fifth Decade written by the scribe Genesio de la Barrera. In this line of text from f.3r we get reference to the Aztec king Moctezuma (Muteezuma in the text).
