Another thirty-six manuscripts were digitized this week, still without an obvious pattern to the work. The largest contributor was Barb.gr, with fourteen, followed by Ott.lat with eleven and Barb.lat with seven. After that Vat.lat contributed only two, and one each from Borg.ar and P.I.O. (from the slav subset).

To the right is f.1r from Ott.lat.877, a copy of Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum by the Venerable Bede. The principle text starts on the verso of this leaf. This is because, apparently, this leaf was reused from a contemporary scribal project to copy De Laudibus Sanctæ Crucisby Hrabanus Maurus. That work consists of a series of figured poems, Carmina Figurata, in praise of the Holy Cross. Comparing to f.1v of Amiens 223, you can see the same cruciform poem, but without the rather significant number of errors present on the Ottoboni leaf. Interestingly there is at least one other Marus Figuram leaf that was set as a flyleaf due to a number of errors in the copying, testifying to the difficulty in copying the form poems.

At the bottom is a line of text from f.1r of Barb.gr.490. This is a post-Byzantine manuscript including many texts, but this line comes from a collection of Sophronius Hierosolymitanus's Anacretonic poems.
