This week sixty-three manuscripts were incorporated into the Vatican repositories. This week there were a lot of smaller contributions, which means the pattern of recent weeks got slightly twisted. Although Ott.lat added the most manuscripts, with fifteen, both Pal.gr and Reg.gr added nine to keep up Greek progress. Following on Vat.ar added six, Barb.lat gave five and four more from P.I.O, all from the Slav subsection. Both Vat.lat and Vat.turc added three, two each from Barb.gr and Reg.gr.Pio.II and a single volume from both Var.et and Vat.sir.

To the right is the title page of a copy of Johannes Andreae's Hieronymianus, found on p.1 of Ott.lat.480. The text is not, like most of Andreae's work, a canon law text or commentary, but a biography/hagiography of St. Jerome, peppered with quotes from his own writings.

At the bottom is a fragment of a copy of Boethius' De Musica showing a diagram of musical intervals. This particular image comes from f.12r of Reg.lat.1638, a 10th C copy. Despite diagrams being quite rare in Carolingian and earlier manuscripts generally, copies of Boethius almost always have them, perhaps pointing to their creation very early in the textual history.
