An entirely respectable seventy manuscripts were digitized this week. Following, somewhat, recent patterns, the top three fonds were Ott.lat, Barb.lat, and Vat.lat. The largest fraction came from Ott.lat, with thirty-three manuscripts representing nearly 1% of the entire fond, followed by Vat.lat with seventeen and Barb.lat with sixteen. The rest were a series of unica, one each from Neofiti, Patetta, Raineri and Vat.sir.

To the right is f.175v of Vat.lat.11978, a lovely collection of minor biblical books in a 12th C Beneventan hand. Virginia Brown, one of the experts in the script localizes it to Vico Equense, a small town in the Sorrento region. The manuscript only contains a fraction of the Bible, but contains Ezra and Nehemiah, both of which are rare in Beneventan manuscripts. This page has the beginning of Nehemiah, "Verba neemie fl-lii helchis et factum est i[n] mense casleu..."

At the bottom are two lines of text from f.5v of Neofiti.55. This is a 16th C Missale in Old Croatian, described as Croato-Ragusan in reference to the Republic of Ragusa. It is unique in the world as the only manuscript in Croatian of this time to be written in the Latin alphabet, rather than in Glagolitic or Cyrilic scripts. The rubrics are in Latin, identifying this text as an Oratio, but otherwise its content is unknown
