Due to it being Holy Week, the Vatican was not as busy doing digitizations, with only twenty-seven added to the online repositories. Both Barb.lat and Capp.Sist contributed seven, Ott.lat added five and Vat.lat added four. One each was added from Bonc, Borg.lat, Capp.Giulia, and Comb.
To the right is f.1r, unfolded, from Vat.lat.11144, a collection of mandates for the Prince/Bishop of Würzburg. This section of the volume is dated 1458, though later documents are from the 16th and 17th centuries. This page depicts various important members of the city, including the Bishop, the Dean, the Nuns of St. Stephens (possibly), and the scene of a hanging.
At the bottom is a fragment of the colophon from f.229v of Vat.lat.11487. This is a late 15th C manuscript of the Epigrams of Martial, written by Guido Bonacti of Forli. In the line above the one presented here, he clearly signs his name in purple. The heavily damaged/erased line in red, however tantalizes with hints of more information. Did it contain date and location information, or did it cite the scribe of the large rubric on f.1r, Bartolomeo Sanvito....
