Only six manuscripts were digitized last week, all from the Ott.lat collection.
At the right is f.33v from Ott.lat.2071, a composite manuscript of the 14th C. The first part, which includes this folio, is the Summa of William of Ockham, probably the most well known name of any of the 14th C English philosophers due to his Razor. This manuscript has a careful professional hand, none the less hard to read due to the copious abbreviations
At the bottom is a bit of the marginal decorations from f.1r of Ott.lat.2065, a late 15th C copy of Boccaccio's Libro delle donne illustri. This border has various all' antiqua design elements, including plants, pearls, gemstones, all on a shaded purple ground. The page is written in a very elegant, slightly flamboyant, Humanist hand
