New IWC Perpetual

New IWC Perpetual, rose gold at a distance. This is the new 42mm Perpetual, basically the older version but slighly smaller and with a Da Vinci/Portofino style moonphase, instead of the northern/southern style. It still has the same 7day movement, and single-crown adjustment. Along with the white-face/rose gold there is gray face/white-gold. I don't like it as much, as the moonphase is silver on a gray background, along with the rest of the watch, there just isn't enough contrast.

New IWC Perpetual, me

New IWC Perpetual on my wrist. The watch on my scrawney wrist, it doesn't look as oversized as the older model doesn, buyt it's still a very thick watch.

VC Double Retrograde

Face of a mock-up of a new VC double retrograde, with retrograde hands for date and day. The watch is a 40mm Patrimony style, with the VC in-house automatic, the cal. 2400

VC Double Retrograde, mvmt

Movement of a new VC double retrograde, single-directional automatic wind.

VC Retrograde movement closeup

A closeup of the Cal. 2400, showing the hacking mechanism, the small set of levers(look somewhat like keyless works) at the top center, next to the edge of the balance that is visable from under the rotor. They move like a keyless work, engaging the edge of the balance to stop it during setting.
