Fifty-four manuscripts were digitized this week. The BAV is working to digitize the entire Reg.lat collection, and the good progress has continued this week with twenty-seven manuscripts added. In addition, the two-volume Wilmart catalogue, covering 1-250 and 251-500 have been digitized and made available.

Besides the Reg.lat volumes, the bulk of the weeks additions were in the same Vat.lat.9xxx series, mostly by, or relating to, the 19th C antiquarian Angeli Mai. Other volumes are a copy of Cassiodorus from Ott.lat, a few stragglers from the Palatine library, and one each from Ross, Vat.gr and Vat.ind. The final volume is an unusual one, Thomas Stephens' Krista Purana, written in India, though the date is unknown. This text retells the entire Bible in Marathi, using an indigenous ovi metre. It was written in the late 16th C by one of the first Englishmen to move to India during the Colonial era, going on a Portuguese ship as a Catholic missionary.

To the right is f.78v from Reg.lat.518, a 14th C copy of Martin von Troppau's Chronicon Pontificum et imperatorum. This ends with a series of genealogical trees, and the one pictured is the Norman line from Rollo, first Duke of Normandy, down through William I and his descendents.
