A total of sixty-one manuscripts were digitized this week. Unsurprisingly the largest number, this week actually a true majority with thirty-two, come from the Reg.lat fond. At the current pace the remaining ~800 manuscripts will be done before the end of 2022. The bulk of the remaining manuscripts are from the Vat.lat.9xxx range, with a smattering of other Vat.lat, some Rossiani, and hapexes from Santa Maria Maggiore, Urb.gr, Var.arm and Pal.lat. The last is somewhat anomolous, all of the Palatine manuscripts were digitized years ago and available on the Heidelberg Website, but the importation into the BAV website has lagged.

Ross.610 is identified as a Franciscan Antiophonal of the 15th C. Although it is not noted as such in the catalogues, the vast majority of the illuminated initials have gray-habited women in them, possibly indicating its having been made for a community of Franciscan nuns: the "Second Order", otherwise called the Poor Clares. The richness of the illumination, see f.99r to the right, is perhaps at odds with St. Francis' teachings regarding poverty.
