The library was hard at work scanning to start out 2022 with forty-four manuscripts digitized, all from the Reg.lat collection. This brings the collection to 1,466 out of 2,113 volumes complete, well on track to be complete before the middle of the year.

To the right is the first page, f.1v, from Reg.lat.294, a copy of Isidore's Etymologies from the turn of the 11th century. This copy prefaces the main text with a table of alphabets, including Greek and Hebrew Gothic and "Philosophers", with the letters named in Latin. The Greek also includes various dipthongs to aid in pronounciation. Although the Greek alphabet is mostly accurate for the letterforms, the names are a little off and the Hebrew alphabet is a complete mess.

The bottom border comes from f.12v of Reg.lat.635, a illuminated gothic Legend of Saint Maurus. Though rarely mentioned today, Maurus was a well known saint of the time, he was the disciple and immediate successor of St. Benedict at Montecassino.
