A total of forty-seven manuscripts were digitized in the past week, which is slightly above average when comparing to recent weeks. Also in-line with the patterns of recent weeks, the most manuscripts, a full thirty-three volumes, came from Ott.lat. A further six came from Barb.lat, four from Vat.lat, and two from Ross. One manuscript each was added from Comb and S.Maria.Magg

To the right is f.1r from Ott.lat.1742, a copy of Virgil's works (Buccolica, Georgics and Aeneid) which was made in the late 15th C in Paris, or it's environs. The arms that are displayed inside the large initial T azur à trois chandeliers d’or accompagnés en chef d’une étoile d’argent, were the arms of Nicolas d’Origny, counsilier to the Parlement of Paris, who died in 1534.

At the bottom is a fragment found in the binding of Barb.lat.681. The main manuscript is a 13th C Roman Pontifical, but it has endleaves and fragments from at least two other manuscripts in it. The main endleaves are from an Antiphonary, written in Caroline minuscule but notated with Beneventan-style neumes. This fragment, however, comes from a 12th C Troper and is Beneventan in script as well as notation. It contains fragments of a Trope or a Prosula for the feast of St. Denis, and perhaps an additional text from a Marian feast.
