Another quiet week, only nine manuscripts were added, and all uploaded on Friday. Most were evenly split between Capp.Sist and Ott.lat, each with four. The final volume was Barb.lat.

To the right is the first page, f.1r, from Ott.lat.3314. This is a late 15th C, dated in it's colophon to November 1, 1493, copy of a rather rare copy of De ratione subiecti generis subiciendique causae by Garganus Senius. The author is unknown to me, but Kristeller notes in Iter Italicum

[There is] a preface [addressed] to Jacobus Salviatus in which the author states that he suffered persecution and hence could not publish his works, that he fled to Florence under the protection of Leon. Bellantes and Lucius Bellantes physicus, that he had dedicated this work to Hermolaus Barbarus before the latter's death, that he composed for the addressee a commentary on Aristotle's De anima, and that he is now writing a treatise de casu ac fortuna for Jo. Medices card.

At the bottom is part of the border from the title page, f.1r, from Capp.Sist.421. This is one of the helpful manuscripts that has a full title page, listing the author, the title of the work, the name of the scribe and even the date.
