A total of forty-one manuscripts were digitized this week, lower than the average week's total. The distribution across fonds is a little unusual, vis-a-vis the recent weeks, with Vat.lat and Ross providing the majority of the manuscripts, fourteen and twelve respectively. Beyond that Ott.lat contributed seven, Barb.lat six and Vat.gr two. An interesting manuscript for statistical purposes is Vat.lat.15505, a copy of António Ferreira's Tragédia Amorosa de Dona Inês de Castro which was presented as a gift to Pope Francis according to the September 2022 issue of the Vatican's quarterly digital newsletter Online Window into the Library (OWL). This gives us solid data on the state of the Vat.lat shelfmark counts in 2022, and indicates that at least 126 volumes have been added since the 2011 publication of D'Aiuto and Vian's Guida ai Fondi Manoscritti, Numismatici a Stampa della Biblioteca Vaticana which listed 15,379 as the last assigned shelfmark.

To the right is an alchemical diagram in the form of a standing man from Ross.1114, this one found on f.IVv. This folio is not a flyleaf, as the number might imply, but a loose page inserted between ff.32v-33r, and contains the fourth "standing man" diagram in the book.

The bottom border is from one of the flyleaves of Barb.lat.511, f.IVv. This is a 12th or 13th Century fragment with chant for Pentecost in Aquitanian neumes.
